The Cranberries

Okay, friends- I am sad. I was listening to the radio today during lunch. They said it was time to begin the "Retro Lunch Hour". Their first song was "Linger" by the Cranberries. Don't tell me that the Cranberries are retro. I will die if they play Pearl Jam or Dave Matthews on the oldies station. I saw the Cranberries in Deep Ellum in '94- that wasn't that long ago was it?

I come from the era of Pepe' jeans (I just bought Hayden a Pepe' hoodie at Ross:) and Nike Pumps (anyone remember that famous athletic shoe?) 90210 episodes on Thursday nigts then moved to Wednesday nights, and calling in live to Kiss FM to request REM, Pearl Jam, and The Toadies (remember them). In the words of my 15 year old nephew, "that was forever ago". "I didn't know you were THAT old". Sadly yes, our era is now retro. But at least we will be retro together...."NOT"! Just kidding. That phrase is so 10...15 years ago!!!! Ha Ha!

Hey Susan! I found your blog by clicking on others. It's great to see a familiar face. Your kiddos are precious!

You crack me up with this post. I too feel that this was just yesterday. I can remember being in high school and driving around in my friend's jeep singing at the top of our lungs to "linger" Thanks for taking me back.....
