BRACE YOURSELF!

I checked Ethan out of school at 11:00 so that we would have time to go eat at his favorite restaurant- Mongolian Buffet City. I let him choose what he would like to eat before he would be restricted from almost everything. We were so sad to see that Buffet City was closed for remodeling.
So, he settled for Subway. Good thing he had a huge bag of Doritos because those are now banned for him.
Poor guy. He was such a trooper! We have heard that the pain will settle in tomorrow.
Keep Ethan in your thoughts next time you chomp on your ice from Sonic, chew gum, or eat pizza that is not cut into pieces (isn't that weird that we have to do that).
He chose Dallas Cowboy colors for the rubber bands around the braces.

I love every minute that happens between now & New Year's Day. Doesn't life just feel like one big party for a couple of months. There are so many festivities, dinners, parties & programs going on. I just love it! So, here are a few of the pics from our Holiday kick-off at my parent's church Fall Festival.

We've still got it!

What is "it" you ask? My dad & I successfully reached the top of the rock climbing wall at the Fall Festival tonight. So, the "it" that I speak of is the ability to pull our own weight up a plastic wall while everyone below us is watching- hoping we won't fall. I was especially nervous because Donald & the kids were watching me.
I absolutely did not want to wimp out (or crash) in front of them. On a side note- my dad & I both beat the junior high and elementary school kids we were "racing".

Happy Birthday, Donald!!!

Today is Donald's birthday. We celebrated last night with some of the fam. at Pei Wei. He got some clothes, workout gloves, a gift certificate to Panda Express (our favorite), some $ - but not much else. The big present will come this weekend. We're waiting for Guitar Hero for Wii to come out. He also got his annual prank call from Dale this afternoon. But, lucky for us, those don't just come on special occasions.
I also want to send a shout out to our friends Travis, Julia & Corey who also have birthdays this week. (Saying "shout out' makes me pretty cool or totally lame. I'm betting on the latter of the 2. Donald, we are getting old!)

GO WILDCATS!!!

Donald, Jeb & Jackie- I have heard the best stories about these 3.

The kids are posing with our sweet friends Avery & Drew at the parade

showing off our newest ACU paraphernalia- Lily Kate is so proud of her cheerleader bear (we named her Gabriella)

Donald was a Subber once upon a time. It doesn't matter how hard all of the other clubs work on their floats... Sub T always steals the show.

"Kojie born and Kojie bred & when we die we're Kojie dead!" This was my favorite chant when I was in club because it is so goofy. I love Ko Jo Kai!

I also love love love these gals- my friends Lisa & Michelle. We have been friends since I was 13 or 14??? They might be the funniest people I know.

We spent some time over at our wonderful friends Chad & Summer's house. Lily had a great time with Ava. Lily throws an "R" in Ava's name to make it more interesting. So, all day we heard "Avra, come here!" Ava called Ethan & Jack her pretend brothers. So cute!

We were blown away (literally- Abilene is so darn windy) by the new sculpture to grace the ACU campus. AWESOME!!!
It was the most perfect weekend. It was great to see old friends. Donald & I are who we are today because of so many of you. (Is that good or bad- just kidding) We are blessed!
To those of you who stopped me and said, "hey- I read your blog..." please make a quick comment on how I can find your blogs too. I would love to check them out. Have a great day! God bless!

I love you guys... and I love you- mom & dad for showing us true love and making family a priority. Storks rule!!! (ha ha)
