There is no place like home

Jenn & I outside waiting for our shuttle back to our hotel. (I feel like this is where we spent half of our trip.) Our shuttle driver was a German with a split personality (I think).
I am so happy to be home! I had such a great time! But, of course, I missed my babies!!!
I learned so much at our workshop. I feel inspired (and a little overwhelmed)! I don't know where to start! I wish I could spend like crazy- then I would know where to start!
I hope that ya'll had a great weekend (and back-to-school for most of us). I'll write more about it later- much to do!

2008 is starting off great!

I am so excited!!! I will be in Tampa for the next 4 days attending Imaging USA.
My friend, Jenn, & I hope to come back with some great new ideas for our photography businesses. The fam will be here. My mom-in-law is coming to help D as the kids go back to school on Tuesday. I can't wait to hear how their 4 "mom-free" days go. I am sure I will have a funny story or 2 to share about that. Until then...

New Year's Rockin' Eve

Our sweet friends, Corey & April, invited us over to eat, play "84" & let the kids run around like crazies. We had a great time! Poor Ethan is always the oldest when we get together with friends. He either ends up the "babysitter" or tries to keep up with adult conversations. I don't think either are very fun for him.
*If my friends out there in blogland think that I have way too much time on my hands because of all the recent posts- I do. Donald's car is broken which has left me stranded at home for 2 days. Yes, I could clean something, but this is way more fun. Plus, I can see the crazy days of school, basketball & work coming back too soon & I will not be able to play on the computer. I am not at all ready. It is 2:50 p.m. & I am still in my pj's. What a life! I even had to order pizza for lunch because I have no car to go buy groceries. Lily had diet coke with her breakfast this morning. I am such a good mom!

My New Year's resolution...

Post Christmas pictures BEFORE New Year's... Check!

Christmas Tradition #1: Every Christmas Eve we eat out (IHOP) & go see a movie. We saw National Treasure this year. I've heard several people say that they didn't like this one as much as the first- but we loved it. We like anything we see on Christmas Eve!

We then go home and open up our Christmas Eve pajamas...

Christmas morning-Lily & her way too big Barbie house.
.
Christmas Tradition #2: Go eat with Bubba & Nana (my parents) & then open presents with the cousins. Nana scored big with the I-Coaster for Jack!

My Romo- obsessed family!

E-Man & Ben-Ben (how much longer until he hates this nickname?)

All in the family

The top pictures are of Donald's sister, Sheryl, & her family. We took them while we were together for Christmas this past weekend. The bottom 2 are of D's brother, Darryl, & his family. I took these over Thanksgiving- it was raining and absolutely freezing! The only place to take them was inside a barn- with no light. Not the best set-up, but the 4 of them looked great!

My budding photographer...

I was going through my pictures of the day & thought I would post the pictures that Lily Kate took. She has decided that she is going to be a photographer when she grows up. I got her a photographer Barbie for Christmas (so cute!). She always wants to take a picture with my camera- they are pretty good! Okay, so she cut off the top of my dad's head. Give her a break- she's 4!
I will post my big Christmas post later- I am one tired mama tonight. I hope you all (my 3 readers) had a wonderful day! Love ya!
